The mats are made of woven silica with a flexible aluminized finish—and feature a reflective surface material able to withstand radiant temps in excess of 2000 degrees F. They can be used in numerous applications to protect painted surfaces, plastic parts, vehicle interiors, or other automotive components from the damaging effects of radiant heat. Summit heat shields are available in different sizes, and can easily be applied to most any surface or wrapped around a hose or wire for a clean, professional appearance.
